M Social Auckland
Welcoming to the Auckland hotel market is
the world’s second M Social (the first being in
Singapore): a funky, vibrant, innovative
lifestyle hotel with a prime position on
Redefining the art of travel, M Social
Auckland is a part of a small but mighty
collection of lifestyle hotels from Millennium
Hotels and Resorts’ M Collection.
Shaking up the hospitality scene in the
central city of New Zealand’s largest
metropolis, all 190 rooms, including eight
suites, feature wall-to-wall windows
overlooking the picturesque Waitemata
Wired for today’s connectivity needs, the
hotel features the latest technology in media
equipment including RFID ‘proximity’ room
key cards, video conferencing, and
interactive guest services.
The street level signature restaurant, Beast
and Butterflies, is a funky, casual, all-day
dining destination complete with an outdoor
terrace and quite possibly the city’s longest
bar. Attracting both locals and guests, Beast
and Butterflies’ open kitchen allows you to
watch the talented chefs showcase local
flavours and the finest of New Zealand’s
seafood. The tantalising menu features a
selection of à la carte and street food
inspired dishes from the Asia Pacific region.
M Social Auckland is all about clever
design of unique spaces, integrating technology and hospitality and New Zealand. The hotel
provides the option of self-service check-in, check-out kiosks, as well as a traditional reception
desk, concierge service and a media wall displaying local information such as ferry timetables,
the weather forecast and details on nearby activities.
Resonating with business and leisure guests, M Social Auckland offers a variety of new venue
options for event planners and delegates in Auckland. The array of meeting spaces and
boardrooms available are inclusive of the latest technology and capable of handling events for
five to 50 guests. M Social Auckland is already providing a modern space for those who live,
work and play in the neighbourhood, as well as a social base for delegates.
The Heads, Omapere
Simplicity is the new luxury and the giant trees of the Waipoua Kauri Forest act as sentinels for
the undiscovered jewel of Northland’s west coast and recently opened, The Heads, Omapere.
Described as the ideal location for your next incentive, retreat or special event, it has clean
lines in glass, river stone and natural timber. The raw, untouched beauty of the surrounding
forest and sea inspires The Heads’ take on luxury.
Understated elegance welcomes guests and nothing here happens by mistake. From the
architecture to the art, every detail has been carefully selected to reconnect delegates with the
land and its people. Spectacularly located on the shores of Omapere in Hokianga, The Heads’
10 secluded villas are tucked away by the Hokianga Harbour and supported by the Copthorne
Hotel and Resort Hokianga, which overlooks the Tasman Sea.
Behind grand gated walls for added privacy, an extravagant escape awaits. More than just
four walls, each villa is shaped to resemble a wharenui, (Maori communal house), a place of
manaakitanga, of warmth, generosity, respect and kindness. With nature at its core, the villas’
luxurious bathrooms are inspired by Hokianga’s awa, (river) and mighty moana (sea) with
gorgeous artwork of whenua (the land), captured by a local photographer lining the walls.
The bathrooms are a true feature with a freestanding luxurious plunge bath and double
monsoon shower, as is the private outdoor hot tub and open fire. The unique setting of the
villas, with the indoor and outdoor flow, is designed to relax, refresh and reconnect delegates.
Close enough to the action but far enough away, The Heads, Omapere provides the ideal
venue for an event or program from four to 20 guests with a maximum of 88 guests including
the Copthorne Hotel and Resort Hokianga. m
Never short of activity, Millennium Hotels and Resorts
has announced some exciting new initiatives.
